It's the weekend--and a lovely one to boot!  There are two special events happening in Lafayette today: the Second Saturday Artwalk downtown and the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands at Cajun Field.  Artwalk is a great way to learn more about the arts community in Lafayette.  You can visit art studios and businesses hosting local artists' works along Jefferson and adjoining streets from 6pm-9pm.  Here is a link to their website.  The Showcase of Marching Bands is a fundraising event hosted by UL Lafayette and sponsored by Lafayette Music Company.  You can learn more about the event on their website.  (The link to the University's Showcase page is here.)

Another arts event this Saturday and Sunday is the performance of Little Shop of Horrors at Cite des Arts.  This weekend is the last performance, so watch it while you can.

Congratulations to Courtney Svendson and Frankie Gerami, the winners of Dancing with the Stars, the Sacred Heart Way, for raising the most money in support of the Academy of the Sacred Heart.

It's our second and final weekend for pet portraits at the Acadiana Veterinary Clinic.  We will be there Saturday from 8am until noon.  (If we have more portraits scheduled after 12, we will continue until they are finished.)  Feel free to call us at (337) 233-1094 to schedule a shoot or for more information about pet portraits.
